Supporting Caregivers Through Scholarship
The mission of the Jean Griswold Foundation is to support caregivers by providing educational scholarships to enable them to further their training, enhance their careers, and better assist the clients they serve.
By offering educational scholarships, our Foundation will not only make a positive impact on the caregivers themselves, but also the clients they assist and the home healthcare agencies where they are employed, as well as help advance the overarching home-care industry.
Who is
Jean Griswold?
The Jean Griswold Foundation is dedicated to supporting caregivers, who are the backbone of the care industry. The Jean Griswold Foundation is named after Dr. Jean Griswold, who founded Griswold Home Care in 1982. The company was born at her dining room table in suburban Philadelphia after an elderly woman in her community passed away because she had no support system for care. Jean was deeply saddened by what she felt was an easily preventable tragedy and was driven to act. A true visionary, she established one of the most successful non-medical home care organizations in the country despite her own MS diagnosis. Today, Jean's legacy lives on in the compassion, integrity and experience you will find at each of Griswold’s 170 locations nationwide. Her belief in the power of education is honored through the foundation’s Caregiver Scholarship Program.
