SUPPORTING COMMUNITY EFFORTS NATIONWIDE
TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® locations across the country donated thousands of service hours to their communities. In 2022 alone, franchises donated more than $3 million worth of moving services to people and organizations in need.
Giving back to the community is a big part of who we are, and has been since our beginnings. Company Founder Mary Ellen Sheets donated her first profits to 10 different charities. This spirit has lived on and was a big influence in developing our tagline, Movers Who Care®.
Our locations work with several impactful organizations, including Convoy of Hope, Cheeriodicals, Toys for Tots, United Way, and Habitat for Humanity. We also have our own giving programs – Movers for Moms®, Movers for Military®, Movers for Meals®, Movers for Mutts®, and Truckload of Warmth®.
By partnering with local shelters, schools, and organizations to run these programs and give back to those in need, we’re able to build better relationships within the communities where we work and live.
Each spring, TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® locations across the country collect donations for women in need and deliver them to local women’s and family shelters on or before Mother’s Day. The annual campaign is called Movers for Moms®.
Truckload of Warmth is a program to support local shelters by providing warm clothing to those needing assistance.
To help those who are facing hunger, TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® locations host the Movers for Meals® food drive each fall.
Since 2013, TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® franchises across the country have partnered up with Cheeriodicals® to deliver bright green boxes of cheer. The gift boxes are assembled by companies who participate in meaningful team building events. Once the boxes are complete, TWO MEN AND A TRUCK donates moving services to transport the gift boxes to local hospitals/healthcare facilities.
Movers for Mutts® is a program created by TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® in an effort to help local animal shelters. This program is hosted each fall and partners with local businesses, schools, and organizations to collect food, toys, and other essential items pets may need while waiting for their forever homes.
Local TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® locations partner with schools, businesses, and veteran’s shelters to collect essential care items each fall and deliver them to veteran’s shelters the week of Veteran’s Day. This program is called Movers for Military®.
Given TWO MEN AND A TRUCK's core purpose of Moving People Forward®, coupled with the brand's core value, inclusion, a partnership with First Book was a natural fit. First Book, a non-profit organization, believes education is the key to helping those living in poverty; they strive to provide children and educators from low-income communities with high-quality books and educational resources.
Convoy of Hope is dedicated to making a difference in communities all around the world. Their main focus is working to feed children through feeding initiatives, community outreaches, and disaster response. Since 2018, TWO MEN AND A TRUCK has donated 10 cents from every move to Convoy of Hope, resulting in donations totaling more than $200,000.
